2 Tablespoons butter                              2 cans (15 1/2 oz) whole string beans, drained
2 Tablespoons flour                                 1 can (5 oz) water chestnuts, drained and sliced 2 cups light cream                                   1 can  (3 1/2 oz) French fried onions
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce                          Salt & pepper to taste

Melt butter in sauce pan, stir in flour. Remove from heat, add cream, stirring until smooth. Add soy sauce, salt & pepper, green beans and sliced water chestnuts.

Mix well and heat. Pour into shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with French fried onions. Bake in 425* oven until onions are browned lightly. Serves 8.
